UKB To Host Diabetic Cooking Presentations

On Wednesday, February 20th at 3pm, a diabetic cooking presentation will be held at the United Keetoowah Band Sub-Office in Stilwell and on Thursday, February 21st at 3pm, a diabetic cooking presentation will be held at the First Christian Church in Pryor, which is located at 301 NE 1st Street.

The demonstrations are open to all American Indian elders and their family members who are interested in learning more about diabetes and cooking preparation for diabetics. Non-diabetics are welcome to attend. Door prizes will be awarded to participants.

The Diabetic Cooking Presentations are made possible by the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in cooperation with a grant from the Association of American Indian Physicians and the UKB Title VI Elder Nutrition Center and Caregiver Program.
