UKB Children’s Christmas Gift Cards to be distributed IN NINE KEETOOWAH CHEROKEE DISTRICTS

Tahlequah , Okla. -- In the spirit of the holiday season, the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma will once again be distributing Christmas candy and $25 Christmas Gift Cards from Wal-Mart to all UKB tribal youth from babies to 18 years of age. To be eligible, children must be enrolled UKB tribal members. Gift cards will be distributed in each of the nine districts.

The gift cards will be distributed in the Cooweescoowee District on Tuesday, December 11 beginning at 6 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Pryor. For more information, contact UKB Councilman and Cooweescoowee District Representative Cliff Wofford at 822-1953.

The gift cards will be distributed to the Goingsnake District members on Thursday, December 13, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Stilwell UKB Office. For more information, contact UKB Councilwoman and Goingsnake District Representative Joyce Fourkiller at 822-3809.

The gift cards will be distributed in the Illinois District on Thursday, December 13 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Vian Satellite Office . For more information, contact UKB Councilwoman and Illinois District Representative Barbara Girty at 457-7067.

The gift cards will be distributed in the Sequoyah District meeting on Thursday, December 13 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the tribe’s old Gaming Office in Sallisaw. For more information, contact UKB Councilman and Sequoyah District Representative Barry Dotson at 207-2990.

The gift cards will be distributed in the Tahlequah District on Saturday, December 8 and Saturday, December 15, from noon to 4 p.m. at the UKB Community Services Building . For more information, contact UKB Councilman Albert Shade, Tahlequah District Representative, at 822-3805.

The gift cards will be distributed to the Flint District members on Saturday, December 15, from 2-5 p.m. at the Stilwell UKB Office. For more information, contact UKB Councilman and Flint District Representative Woodrow Proctor at 822-3811

The gift cards will be distributed in the Canadian Districts on Saturday, December 15. The cards will be distributed between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the lower level of Bacone College Campus in Muskogee For more information, contact UKB Councilmen Eddie Sacks, Canadian District Representative at 822-1957.

The gift cards will be distributed in the Delaware District on Monday, December 17 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Jay Community Building. If members are not able to their district meetings, gift cards will be available from their district representative through January 4.
