UKB Complex Visited by Ghostly Creatures
Ghouls and Goblins celebrated their day by invading the United Keetoowah Band Community Services Building and Wellness Center Oct 31. Over 54 daycare students at the Henry Lee Doublehead Child Development Center trick or treated different departments throughout the complex as staff members, dressed in Halloween costumes, handed out treats to the young students. Staff members decorated their offices and the gym area of the Wellness Center with Halloween decorations and lights to provide a dark and spooky atmosphere for the young children as they visited each haunted stations.
"Trick or treat at the Wellness Center was outstanding, a lot of kids came through, they were very cute, good costumes, and everybody enjoyed themselves. A lot of candy was distributed today and next year we'll make it bigger and better," said Hominy Littledave, tribal community coordinator for the Keetoowah Cherokee tribe.
Employees of the UKB welcomed the young Keetoowah Cherokees with lots of treats. Superman, Wonder Woman and even the Cowardly Lion charmed the staff with their presence. It was a day of laughter and enjoyment.
