Call for Arts and Crafts, Food Vendors for 60th Annual Celebration

Tahlequah, Okla. -- The United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma is looking for vendors to sell arts and crafts and food at its 60th Annual Keetoowah Cherokee Celebration. Last year's arts and crafts vendors sold traditional baskets, frog gigs, jewelry and many other traditional crafts. Food vendors sold lemonade, Indian tacos, nachos, corn dogs, barbecue, funnel cakes and chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick, along with other delicious treats.

Arts and crafts booths cost $40 for a 10-by-10 location without electricity, $50 for a 10-by-10 location with electricity, $60 for a 10-by- 20 location without electricity and $70 for a 10-by- 20 location with electricity.

Food booths cost $100 for a 10-by-10 location without electricity, $110 for a 10-by-10 location with electricity, $150 for a 10-by-20 location without electricity and $160 for a 10-by-20 location with electricity. All food vendors must provide their own sanitary water hose. Vendors must provide their own 10 gauge electric cord.

UKB members receive a $10 discount on booth fees if they attach a copy of their membership card to their application. Vendor applications are available at the UKB Community Services Building and can be downloaded from the 60th Celebration Website.

All applications and payments must be made by Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. No exceptions. Booth location is chosen by a raffle after registration is closed. No refunds are issued after the raffle. Applications are accepted on a first come basis starting Aug. 2.
